This blanket was made for an Arapahoe High School athlete. He participated in football and wrestling during his four years there. It is fleece-backed, so it is nice and warm to snuggle with! If you notice the blank squares, they were used as fillers because this athlete didn't have enough t-shirt fronts to make a whole blanket. Also, if you notice the second to the left square on the bottom...you will find there are four tiny squares sewn onto a large square. These were extra designs found on the sleeves of the t-shirts. Instead of wasting them, I used them to complete the plain grey square. On this blanket I used black fleece and black yarn to attach the t-shirts to the backing. The color of the fleece and yarn can be chosen by you, but this one clearly needed black!
These bags are a great way to use extra shirts or simply use the scraps from the shirts you used for your quilts! They can be made of just two shirts or scraps from several! This is an inexpensive gift or a great addition to the quilt that you have already received! They are perfect for kids on road trips or a day at the pool! I made this for my mother after she left Shepherd of the Hills after 14 years of teaching. She wanted a creative way to display her theme shirts, so I took them and surprised her with this. Each shirt represents one of the years she spent at that school. Some years they didn't have one, but I have displayed all that were around when she was. Each year also has a Bible verse associated with the theme shirt. The picture on the shirt also is linked to the verse.
She was my teacher for four years and both of my brothers had her there as well. She now diaplays it in her home in southern Colorado. This quilt was made specifically for display with high quality materials.
This is a mini quilt I made for my mother. She taught at Shepherd of the Hills School for 14 years and each of these are the fronts of T-shirts she wore while in service there. I cross-stitched the center square for her and incorporated it into the quilt. I stretched it over a frame I made with padding, kind of like a canvas is stretched. It is now a wall hanger for her home.
This quilt was made for a family friend of mine. She likes to run, travel, and her dogs. The t-shirts represent this. Her shirt designs were all different shapes and sizes so I couldn't do the same thing as my mom's quilt. She only wanted one color for the background and one for the backing. This is a more difficult, but equally beautiful presentation. This is also for display only.
FROM SATISFIED CUSTOMERS:
“The quilt brings back wonderful memories of my 14 years of teaching at Shepherd. I have the quilt hanging in our bedroom where at least 25 parents of Shepherd students have seen the quilt. When they see it, they talk about their memories when each t-shirt was worn and which t-shirts were their favorites. It is fun to listen to them. Although this was Jordan’s first quilt, the quality is excellent. In addition, Jordan used the placards of several t-shirts to make a smaller display. I thank Jordan for commemorating my 14 years at Shepherd in such a creative way.”

“The finished produce was professionally done, beautiful in its design as well as in its expert tailoring.”
-Juliette
“Jordan rocks! It is great to see and reflect back on the good ol’ times! It is a constant reminder of what I did during my years as an athlete! The t-shirts would have rotted away if I had worn them, but they are forever kept together in a blanket. Blood, sweat, and tears were put into the shirts over the years I wore them, and I know Jordan kept that when she made me my blanket…thanks girl!”
-Jarrod
“It's a daily reminder of great memories and keeps us warm up here in the frigid north!”
